This place is a must when you're looking for banh mi in Santa Rosa. It's affordable (cash only) and the banh mi are soooo good. Good amount of filling, vegetables. You can call in ahead of time to place an order for pick up, it'll be ready in 10 or so minutes. The store is unassuming, nothing too fancy but expecting nothing too much on that regard.

My favorite place to get a banh mi in Sonoma county! It's a mom and pop shop, and the inside is very plain and simple. It's super authentic and very affordable at $7.50 per banh mi. They use a French baguette that's crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I always get the grilled pork, and it's very tasty and flavored well. Also includes the picked veggies and cilantro. I always get their Vietnamese iced coffee too, it's very strong, just the way I like it! It's cash only, unless you order ahead on Yelp.

My favorite Vietnamese sandwich place! The most authentic banh mi sandwich in sonoma county. We come here every other week. The shop is small but don't let that stop you. The service is good, they're always nice and the food comes out in 10 mins or less. We usually get the grilled pork sandwich, sometimes I double the meat or add an egg. I also love getting the spring rolls which are only available in the weekend. And the Vietnamese coffee is strong but yummy! When I first came here they were $5 sandwiches, it's now around $7 -- but still the cheapest & most flavorful banh mi you'll find in sonoma county. I highly recommend!!!

When your favorite hole in the wall banh mi place returns with a vengeance, of course I'm gonna go. Still cash only, and they have definitely shrunk their menu to make it more streamlined. Ordered the Tofu Veggie Sandwich, and it was delicious but dry. Definitely needs some kind of sauce like Kewpie Mayo or something. Either way, glad they're back! Before I forget, the Tofu Veggie Sandwich uses Bi Chay which is shredded tofu and veggies. It's not chunks/cuts of tofu. In the past, I saw an old reviewer saying they don't see tofu in this. Educate yourself before writing ignorant reviews.

Update: 2/16/23 This place currently looks like it's closed for 'renovations'? Not entirely sure but I advise calling ahead before trekking over to make sure they're open first! Original review: Finally! A Banh Mi place that is still affordable and delicious! I understand that with rising food costs, the era of $3 banh mis are long gone, but I still wince in pain when I see places charging $9+ for one. However, for $5.50, I can still buy a full-sized banh mi on a proper french baguette that is crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and stuffed with all the pickled veggies and protein. I LOVE that their vegetarian/vegan option is Bi Chay, which is a vegetarian version of shredded pork. It's really tough to find bi chay, many places just use uncooked or fried tofu slices as the veggie option. To me, Bi Chay has a more authentic Vietnamese flavor and is more creative. It is not as oily as Lee Sandwich's version. The store is located in a small outdoor strip mall and parking was easy to find. The interior is basic and bare-boned, straight out of the 90's, but for the price, it doesn't matter to me. I go in, pay in cash, wait a few minutes, and leave. There are tables & chairs to sit and eat and they have a selection of drinks to go with your food. Great find and I will be back if I'm in the area again!
